Hello all

Airedale tours (change of hotel for this Art lovers trip March 2024).

We are now booked at a nearby Premier Inn,  Hayle Cornwall, a short drive from St Ives, at £30 00 extra pax., with b/b and a two course  evening meal deal..  As you may be aware the Premier Inn breakfasts are famously substantial, don’t think we will require a lunch.

Please confirm you still want to attend this trip asap, to be sure of this price.

The cost is very reasonable for Cornwall . Itinerary stays the same,

23rd March a.m      Tate St Ives………..   then  free afternoon in St Ives

24th March a.m        Barbara Hepworth Museum then Trengwainton

Sefton Artists are back on The Landing.
From 2 December 2023 – 20 January 2024.

Sefton Artists was formed in 2010 by a small group of artists. They met weekly to paint and share ideas. From their small beginnings the group has grown and now includes members from all regions of Sefton and from West Lancs. They meet weekly in Lydiate Village Centre.   This is a free event, just call in if your Christmas shopping in Southport

An Evening with Shirley Ballas

Due to personal circumstances, two tickets have become available for ‘An evening with Shirley Ballas’, (Strictly judge). The event is organised by Waterstones and is taking place at Oh Me Oh MY, 25 Water Street Liverpool L2 0RG, this coming Wednesday 22nd Nov, starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 8.00pm. We will be getting the 6.00 pm train from Maghull Station.
The tickets were originally on sale for £8.00. A reasonable offer will be accepted.

Architecture for Fun Christmas Lunch “CHANGE OF DATE”

I was advised on Friday ,17th November that the Liverpool College have decided to close the Academy Restaurant early for this year < ie closed 21st and 22nd December

After further negotiation , I was able to agree that the restaurant could accommodate “our party” on Monday 18th December (at 12  noon)

Several members have put there names on the list but have yet to pay or complete a “menu selection” PLEASE TEXT GEORGE (07826 048379) ASAP TO CONFIRM THAT THEY WANT TO BE PRESENT AT THE LUNCH , IF NO CONTACT IS MADE IT WILL BE ASSUMED THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THE LUNCH

 Hi all  this is something very different to our usual visits however I am sure true art lovers will benefit a great deal as you will be required  to think about what your seeing and hearing and as is usual with our group, ask many pertinent questions.

P.S if you have never visited this gallery you are in for a treat

in art and architecture.

Recruited by MI6 and a CIA operative, (Rachel Brosnahan), Wynne forms a covert partnership with Soviet officer Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze).

Both men risk everything in a compelling race against time to provide the intelligence needed to prevent nuclear confrontation and end the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Can you please let me know if you are Vegetarian. Also the Dessert for the above event is Christmas Pudding served with sauce. If you are Diabetic, I have requested they serve either fresh fruit salad or ice cream.  Can you please let me know which would be your preference. Love it or hate it, it’s back again. Twenty five tickets held for our group. At £2.50 each.

N.B Cheque has been posted however if you want to come card payment is acceptable on the day at the venue,

Sunday December 3rd . meet at venue 11.30 am. .self guided visit. No time limit on ticket.

Tickets available online, with half price tickets for Liverpool City Region residents on the first Sunday of every month.

Which is what we are, so, we’ve got  it.
