Despite the heavy rain and train delays, sixteen Stramblers met at the Pier Head. It wouldn’t have surprised me if the walk had been cancelled, but we set off with brollies up and fingers crossed. Architecture for Fun Chatsworth House and Heage Windmill

Negotiations are under way for the above trip on Thursday 23rd or Thursday 30th May

We will go to Chatsworth House first and then Heage Windmill for a guided tour of this “working windmill”

A full itinerary and costs  will be confirmed at a later date.

We are still awaiting an itinerary from Gary Friday which will identify the places in Liverpool , Cheshire and Manchester.

We will visit an area in Toxteth (not the previous visited) , Ellesmere Port Canal Boat Museum , Plaza Cinema in Stockport and maybe some others

Architecture for Fun Canal Cruise 28th March

A Mr and Mrs Bennett visited the AFF desk and were put on a reserve list , I have tried unsuccessfully to find there contact details. If they still want to take up the 2 places on boat 3 at 2.30pm please visit Jeff Martin at the AFF desk and pay the £35pp

I have now agreed 3 boats at both 12noon and 2.30pm , all boats are full except boat 3 at 2.30pm. 2 members have now paid for this boat and 4 members are to either forward a cheque to George or see Jeff Martin , the remaining 2 places are allocated to Mr and Mrs Bennett but if they do not take up the places , these 2 places will be made available to 2 other members if they wish to join us.

Join us on Tuesday 20th February at the Plaza for a showing of a 2005 crime thriller.

When an UN interpreter (Nicole Kidmaan) overhears an assassination plot, she falls in danger and is protected by a federal agent (Sean Penn). But the more he knows about her the more suspicious he becomes; is she a victim or a suspect?

March Ramble

The next ramble will take place on Thursday 7th March. This will be a 9 mile circular walk from Anglezarke reservoir, up Great Hill, across the moors and returning to start point. The walk is open to anyone who is a keen walker and is able to manage a longer walk on varied terrain and has appropriate footwear and clothing. The group meet at a local location and then car share to walk venue.
