Wine Tasting – 28th July
Winetime at Scatchards – Come and Taste the wines from Southern France
There will be 6 wines (2 whites , 1 Cotes de Provence (do not miss this) and 3 reds) , a full explanation will be given on each wine and its origin by Jon Atkinson
There will be charcuterie , cheeses , olives and biscuits to enjoy with your wines
The cost is £9 for the tasting (similar tastings in town could coast up to £45)
There is also a “return taxi transfer if required ” from Maghull Square leaving at approx. 6.40 pm to arrive at the tasting for 7.00pm , cost is £8

Usual cost £9.00 for tasting and £8.00 for taxi transfer (Maghull Square to Scatchards and return leaving square at approx.6.40pm)

The Committee advised us today that there will be no coffee morning on Tuesday 19th April 2022
Therefore if any member wants to take part in the following , can they visit the Architecture for Fun / Wine Tasting desk on Tuesday 12th April 2022 to book a place and pay the required fee or text George on 07826 048379
Thursday 14th April 2022 , Visit to The Roundhouse Birmingham and The Back to Back Houses Birmingham. Only 3 places left

Wednesday 18th May 2022 . Visit to Elan Ranger Station ( tour of Elan Valley and entry to Dam and then Grigin Farm to watch the spectacular feeding of hundreds of Red Kites Cost £35 Only 7 places left
Wednesday 22 June 2022 . Visit to Ripon Workhouse Museum and Prison and Police Museum at Ripon. Cost £38

A further wine tasting “Wines from the Lake Garda Area” will take place on Thursday 21st April 2022 at Winetime at Scatchards on Derby Road

Lake Garda Wine Tour 6/10 – 12/10/22
Can members who are interested in joining the tour please complete the “booking form” and return to George at the Wine Tasting Desk together with a “deposit cheque for £300 per person”
George will retain booking forms and cheques until sufficient numbers of booking forms and cheques has been received to enable tour to go ahead
This is necessary to enable the tour operator to “book flights”
