The table games group is ready to restart on Monday 6th September.
As the Town Hall is closed until October we will be using Kensington House from 10 – 12 for Bridge.
Other games could be available, all are welcome so come along and give it a try..
It looks like it will be some time before we can reconvene our weekly sessions at the

The latest Covid restrictions make it it seem unlikely that the Table Games groups activities will resume before the New Year. 
It really could be a miserable last 3 months of 2020.
With this in mind we have decided to offer an ‘on-line’ Bridge session. This would be organised using BBO at a time to suit folk. BBO is ‘free’ to sign up and our games would be members only.

Just played my second tournament on Bridge Base Online. 
Was partnered with a ‘beginner’ called David. It turned out to be quite a good afternoon with an excellent result. I am not a great player, so matched with a beginner, we should have struggled. But in fact we came 10th from 40 tables overall, then i found my partner was 12 
So, if you fancy some Bridge why not log in to BBO? Its FREE and easy to work. You can play singly, 24 hours a day, arrange tables for friends to meet and stay as long as you like.

The group continues to meet in the function suite at Maghull Town Hall on Mondays from 10 -12. We currently offer Bridge and Scrabble in a light hearted form.
We will not be taking a summer recess so why not come along and have a look see?
Important notice – Venue change
The ‘Venue’ at the Town Hall is not available for us on the
following dates: Nov. 27th, Dec 4th and Dec. 11 th.
We are able to use Kensington House at the usual time of 10 – 12 am
From July 1st we meet in The Venue at Maghull Town Hall
Usual time from 10-12 every Monday but upstairs in the main hall.
However, there will be no meeting on July 3rd as the Venue is booked for a function.
Come along for relaxed Bridge and Scrabble.
We finally have a date for moving upstairs at the Town Hall.
From July 1 st 2017 we will have access to ‘the Venue’ and all future meetings will be held there UNLESS the room is required by the management.
Our first meeting will be on July 10th as the room is already booked for July 3rd.
The general consensus is that we wont have a summer break so we should only miss the August Bank Holiday Monday before our Christmas break.

The venue for the Table Games Group will continue to be Maghull Town Hall but, we will be moving from the ‘coffee bar’ to the upstairs ‘function room‘, as from April 2017.
We will continue with Bridge and Scrabble so come along every Monday from 10 – 12 .
