NORDIC WALKING GROUP – CHRISTMAL WALK & MEAL

Our last walk of the year took place on Monday, 12th December 2016. The walk commenced at The Great Mogul Pub, Station Road, Maghull.  Unfortunately it rained throughout the walk, but we remained in good spirits.  The route took us past lots of gardens displaying Christmas lights. One garden in particular, close to the Red House Pub, was full of inflatable snowmen and a Father Christmas. IT was rather like a Christmas grotto.  Our walkers, were also doing their festive bit, by wearing Santa hats and antlers, with flashing red lights on our arms and clothing. On our return to the Mogul car park and after cooling down exercises, we went into the pub for our Christmas meal.  The food was good and everyone had a nice time, with various quiz sheets being passed around and good conversation, we were really in the festive mood.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

From Ian, Brenda and John (Walking Group Leaders)

Our next walk will be on;
Monday 16th January 2017,
Meeting at Maghull Baptist Church,
at 6.30pm, (for a 1 Hour Walk).
