Marj has asked me to post the “Thank You ” below.
Colin Gore
I would like to express thanks to my friends and their partners of Badminton 1 Group for the most enjoyable evening bestowed upon me, on my relinquishing of the above group.
After ten years I decided it was time to pass over the reins, but not to hang up my racquet. You are not getting rid of me that easily. I have enjoyed running the group which has resulted in me making some very dear friends and having a great social life (yes even at my age), not forgetting the Badminton of course.
So again many thanks for my meal, my bouquet and gift vouchers.
You have all been so very kind and a great group to work with, see you Wednesday am.
Marj Grundy.
Badminton group celebration
On Wednesday Jan 11th, members of the U3A Badminton group said thanks to Marj Grundy, who has been Team Leader of the group since it’s start 10 years ago.Held at The Cherry House, Ormskirk, the evening was a great success with wonderful food and more importantly good company.Marj will continue to play the game she loves and will have to put up with Colin Gore as her replacement, it will be a hard act to follow. She was presented with flowers and an M+S gift voucher.

Under new management
After 10 years at the helm Marge Grundy has decided to hang up her racquets.
She has been an inspiration to me and many other players over the years and we wish her all the best in her retirement 🙂
