Greenwich and Eltham Palace

A trip has been organised with the Art Appreciation Group to the above from Sunday 28th July until Tuesday 30th July.

We will visit Bletchley Park on the way to London on the 28th July. We will stay in the 4* Double Tree by Hilton Docklands for 2 nights bed and Breakfast

On 29th July we will visit Eltham Palace in the morning  and in the afternoon  , Dulwich Picture Gallery. On 30th July we will visit Greenwich , a World Heritage Site where members can visit various landmarks/buildings.

Cost is £260.00 per person with a £100.00 single supplement charge

Lee Miller @ Hepworth – Oct 6th

We have a coach to the Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield on Saturday Oct. 6th

Lee Miller had photographed her many friends in the art world of the 19th century such as Picasso ,Henry Moore and Man Ray. She  is an American by birth but has spent many years in Britain.

She was a war correspondent,  spending some of the war years in Egypt.  After the war she was a fashion photograper for Vogue.

We will see in this wonderfully exhibition a complete  memoir of her eclectic  life.

John Moores @ The Walker/Biennial 28th September 1.30pm

Hi all, it’s that time again, I can’t believe it’s come along so fast!
The last exhibition for the John Moores Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery two years ago was guided expertly by Simon who has once again agreed to do a tour for us.

It’s great to have friends in high places.
