Bristol has a really great art scene.   It’s not just the home of Banksy we are visiting but four other art venues, so get yourselves fit for March 2025.      We have a eclectic itinerary, all entrances will be included if we have enough interest.

Due to expected demonstrations in and around Pierhead this weekend, the lovely Liverpool Arts Fair, which we have visited many times, has informed me they have  had to close two days early, so they will miss two days of trading.  It will be a sad loss to our cities cultural heritage especially as this only the second year of the show returning after Covid.              Maureen

On Wednesday 11th of September Bill Tidy’s daughter, Sylvia Tidy-Harris will be giving a free talk at the Atkinson. The title is ‘Is there any news of the iceberg?’    Take care, Maureen

I have tried to get a talk  / tour for this but have had no response as yet. I know we have a few things on September but  I will be visiting as it is far too good to miss. For those who didn’t make it to the Walker Gallery this afternoon after our Van Gogh visit earlier.

Venus lived in Rokeby Hall, County Durham. Which we have visited on a previous Art Appreciation trip a few years ago. She wasn’t in residence then though.
