How many times have we passed the Church of St.Margaret of Antioch, which is better known as The Marble Church at St.Asaph? This time we will stop and have a Blue Badge Guided Tour and will be told all about the fascinating history of this beautiful building and the significance of the Canadian War Graves, but not until we have had our morning coffee/biscuits at the lovely Oriel Country House Hotel set in beautiful Gardens.

REMINDER – BALANCE OF PAYMENT FOR TRIPS
As we frequently have to pay up front prior to any visit for coach hire, entrance fees, teas/coffees, guided tours/meals etc., we would like to remind everyone that balance of payment for your trip is due 4 weeks before the date of the trip This enables us to meet our obligations. It also stops us having to ring members with a reminding message which is time consuming and costly. Your co-operation in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks – Marj Atlay, Day Trips Leader

DAY TRIPS CHRISTMAS LUNCH
It was a long time in planning but Fri.4th December saw us off on a Holmeswood Coach first to High Legh Garden Centre, Knutsford. It is a good Centre with lots of choice and I think the cards were flashed quite a lot as everyone seemed to have bags of something or other. We left there for the Forest Hills Hotel, Frodsham. A comfortable, privately owned Best Western Hotel with super panoramic views of the Mersey Estuary. After eventually taking our seats, we were served with a delicious meal, accompanied by plenty of wine, followed by coffee and stollen. A good day was had by all.
