Yes it;s that time of year again! Time to join our friendly, sociable group for a 5 day/4 nights dinner/bed/breakfast at the family owned Clarence House Hotel, Tenby, Arriving 19th November and departing 23rd November 2018.  Owned by the Phillips family for over 70 years, it has a superb sea front location and is a short level walk into Town. All the rooms have the usual mod.cons. tv. hospitality tray, hairdryer etc. A lovely dining room overlooking the sea to Caldy Island and the Seagull Bar to relax and chat.  The Hotel provides extras such as two “Happy Hours”  from 5-6pm and 8pm-9pm. On each evening before dinner there is some kind of reception eg.sherry/mince pies, punch bowl etc. On Thursday there is a soup and sandwich lunch, afternoon entertainment and a cream tea or you are free to wander into Tenby for a look round this attractive, popular town. Set on the western edge of Carmarthen Bay, it has charming Georgian Houses, narrow winding streets, a lovely harbour to explore, a Castle with a small museum, the Walls. and individual shops. There is entertainment each evening and  3 interesting excursions.  You’ll be delighted with a visit from Father Christmas bearing gifts!!! Have you thought about this year’s holiday yet?  If not, why not consider joining our 5 day/4 nights dinner/bed/breakfast break to Essex, a County of contrasts with historic villages, scenic towns and interesting attractions. It captures the epitome of rural England.  Departing on  Thurs.12.7.18 to Mon.16.7.18.  Staying at the Holiday Inn,Colchester, which is a comfortable Hotel with an indoor swimming pool and Health Club.  This is a proud County, beloved by John Constable who painted many aspects of it.  There are lots of things to see/do and excursions and entrance fees are included in the price.  We will cross over into Suffolk, another beautiful County immortalised by Thomas Gainsborough.  We have a couple of twin rooms available at a cost of £380 per person.  Don’t delay, book to-day! We will start our day with a visit to Leeds, one of the most vibrant Cities in the North .  beginning by visiting the bustling compact City Centre.  Walk up Briggate with its’ wide choice of shopping from High End Fashion in the Victorian Quarter to quaint yards off with some of the oldest fascinating pubs in the country to explore.  Try Kirkgate Market, the largest under cover market in Europe and this is where M & S began.  The Grade One listed Corn Exchange where you’ll find vintage fashion, quirky gifts and a lovely Cafe.  Grab a sandwich and head for Leeds Minster for their free half hour organ concert at 12.30pm, and relax and enjoy your lunch  in beautiful surroundings and listening to the music.There are plenty of other choices for some lunch.. You’ll find an  array of interesting Museums, Art Galleries  etc.,  including the Henry Moore Sculpture Museum  Then we will be visiting the Thackray Medical Museum set in an old workhouse. Tracing progress through the ages. We will have a guided tour of a Victorian Street with its sights,smells, stories etc. Discover how treatments have changed over the years. We may even be able to remember some of the old remedies from our own childhood!!

We will start our day at Jak Hansons Outlet in Standish.  This is a family owned business selling cut price clothnig, shoes, linen, cards and lots lots more including a Food Hall and Butchers sellling locally produced meat.  Time to visit their Paddock Restaurant for a tea/coffee etc.  Then we will be off to the comfortable Shaw Hill Hotel and Golf Spa in Chorley.  A lovely Hotel set in beautiful grounds which includes a golf course.  Here we will have a 3 course meal in their Vardons Restaurant overlooking the golf course, which has an enviable reputation for good food and the Chefs source as much local food as possible.
