Norman’s Garden

Norman Conway’s amazing garden with its many surprising features and tropical plants was open again for the last time this year. The weather was good and although attendance was down on last year  the event raised over £500 for Clatterbridge Cancer Research. Norman thanks everyone for their donations and support. Here are some photos of the event. Ed.

Liverpool Forum

Architecture for Fun Visits

Fascinating visit recently  to the ‘Liverpool Forum’ where David Scott enlightened us about its history and many of the architectural features which many of us had passed by before. A visit well worth repeating at some time. Here are a few snaps of the occasion – If any members on the trip would like to share photos they took or make comments please contact website editor at u3anewsletter@gmail.com. Ed.

Painting for Pleasure Exhibition 2014

Some photos fro our latest exhibition at the Coffee morning:

We are very fortunate in having quite a number of members in the group who have a good experience of painting in watercolour, acrylics, gouache and oils, and who are only too happy to share their skills with members of the group who have never painted before. Our members say that they enjoy improving their skills and have pleasure in sharing their talents. Acrylics, the easiest of the painting media, is our main theme at the moment. Come and join us.
