I have previously added a post requesting members who are booked on the above to notify me if they have any FOOD ALLERGIES

To date I am only aware of one member who has previously advised me

If any member who has an allergy does not notify me , it may be that they will have to be satisfied with whatever the sandwiches in the afternoon tea consist of

Morecambe and Heysham trip 17th October 2024

I have one place available for the above trip , cost is £42 which includes all travel , coffee/tea on arrival at Morecambe Winter gardens , a tour of the recently refurbished theatre , afternoon tea , then to Heysham to visit Heritage Centre , Church and chapel and more

Will members who booked a place please visit the AFF desk and pay the required amount (£27)

There are only a few places left on a “first come first served basis”

A reserve list will be set up after all places have been booked

 

 

 

Wine Tasting Tuesday 22nd October

Places still remain for the above “Spanish Delights” Wine Tasting night

6 wines , charcuterie , cheese , olives , biscuits etc

Cost is £12 per member for the tasting , there is the availability of a taxi transfer from and back to Maghull Square at £10 per member

North Wales Wine Tour

I have given a number of members the “table layout for 3 nights”  and the itinerary and luggage labels , a number of members have been requested to attend the coffee morning on Tuesday 17th September to pick up there documents

Members are to note that the coach leaves Maghull Square at 8.00am , members should arrive between 7.30am and 7.45am to have there luggage placed on board the coach

I have previously advised members that they should take with them suitable warm and waterproof clothing and suitable footwear as we are going to the top of Mount Snowden  and the Great Orme

North Wales Wine Tour

I have now obtained details of the dinner for the first night ie. 24th September

I have made out a copy for each member

Members are , if possible , to attend the coffee morning on Tuesday 3rd September to complete their choices , sign and date the copy and leave with me

Your urgent attention would be appreciated as I have to send off the completed menus to the hotel and Airedale as soon as possible

St Nicholas’ Church Blundellsands 150th Anniversary

During part of the National Heritage Open Days , Saturday 14th September and Sunday 15th September ,  there are “guided tours of the church” and Prof. Peter Batey is giving a talk on “the development of Blundellsands” at the above Church , the church is open between 12 noon and 4.30pm an the talk is at 2.00pm

Members who wish to join the trip on either day are to text George on 07826 048379 providing which day they will attend , he will then advise the church on numbers attending on each day , refreshments will be available and members can make a donation if they so wish

Members are to make there own way to the church which is in Mersey Road L23 6SS
