The next Sunday Strollers walk will be on 21st January. This will be a local walk. We will meet at Maghull Station at 10.50. Please bring your bus pass if you have one. We will have lunch/drink at the end and will hopefully sort out the walks for 2018. If you are unable to make the walk but you know of a walk that the group could complete during the year please come to the Group Support desk on a Tuesday or ring Brenda McKenzie on 0151 531 0207. Walking Netball
This group started 20th October and meet at West Lancs College on a Friday morning at 9.30 to 10.30. It takes less than 15 minutes to get there by car and there is plenty of free car parking. People are willing to give lifts so if you are interested come to the Group Support desk on a Tuesday morning or ring 0151 531 0207. Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level.
Women the length of the country have begun playing the game of Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer.
SUNDAY STROLLERS 15th October
Our next walk is 15th October . We will be meeting at Maghull Station at 10.50. We had hoped to get the train to West Kirby, however, there are engineering works that day so we will have to make the best of what is on our door step this month and do West Kirby next month. If you have a bus pass remember to bring it with you. We may get the local bus to Lydiate and walk around that area. You will need to wear walking shoes at this time of the year.
