The Whitaker Museum is a lovely, quirky Museum which has been part of the cultural life of the Rossendale Valley for over one hundred years.  Set in the beautiful Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall.  A traditional and contemporary Museum Art / Gallery  but with a modern twist.

Afternoon visit to Temperance Bar as seen in Hairy Bikers show. Seven tasting to take us back to our childhood.

Leaving Maghull Square 8.45 am prompt.

On 10th June 2025 we will be holding our Annual General Meeting at Maghull Baptist Church.  Doors will open at 09:30 with the meeting starting at 10:00.
Prior to the meeting, packs containing relevant information will be sent out digitally to those with an email address and printed for those who do not have access to the Internet.
We need as many members as possible to attend as this is your opportunity to voice your thoughts about how our u3a is
doing but also to vote on any relevant proposals.

West Kirby to Thursaston 24/04/25

For today’s walk, nineteen Stramblers took the train to West Kirby. We couldn’t have asked for better weather with bright sunshine and blue skies. We joined the Wirral Way – part of the Wirral Country Park which opened in 1973. The Wirral Way follows the track bed of part of the former Birkenhead Railway line, which closed in 1962.
