Twenty Stramblers met at Hightown Station for today’s walk. We couldn’t have picked a better day – blue skies and bright sunshine. Leaving the station at Alt Road, we walked along School Lane to the aptly named Blundell Road. This took us to a footpath through fields to Crosby Coastal Path. A sculpture here, “Pebble” (known locally as the “Wedding Cake”) is a memorial to James Myers, a former pupil of Newfield School, and was created by year 11 pupils from the School and artist Julian Taylor in 2006. The path is popular with cyclists and several groups passed us with cheery waves. Renewals programme
On Tuesday the 4th of March renewals for 2025-26 will take place in the sanctuary at Maghull Baptist Church. When renewing, you will need to have completed part one of the white renewal form on which you are required to put your name and your membership number. Do not worry if you can’t remember your number, our team will be able to give you that before you come in to pay.
The second part of the white form should only be completed if you have any changes to the information that we are currently holding for you for example new mobile number or change of address.
For people without a printer, copies of the white form will be available in the foyer. Payment can be made by cash (notes only), cheques (Maghull and Lydiate u3a) or by bank card.
