Despite the threat of rain, thirteen Stramblers met at St Mary the Virgin Church in Church Road, Rufford for today’s walk. It was lovely to see Anne Blundell back with us. A short walk along Diamond Jubilee Road took us to our old stomping ground, the Leeds Liverpool Canal, and we joined the towpath to head south. Continue reading

We will be making our first visit of the day to the ever popular Cheshire Oaks Outlet with over 140 Stores to browse. Chance to buy presents or maybe an outfit for yourself. Our coach is booked in and this should entitle us to a Welcome Pack containing a 10% discount card to use in certain outlets. Plenty of choice for morning coffee. THEN we are off to the well regarded Rossett Hall Hotel in Wrexham. Set in its’ own grounds with a good reputation for comfort, friendly staff and good food in their Restaurant. We will sit down to a welcome 3 course festive menu followed by tea/coffee/mince pies

I have given a number of members the “table layout for 3 nights” and the itinerary and luggage labels , a number of members have been requested to attend the coffee morning on Tuesday 17th September to pick up there documents
Members are to note that the coach leaves Maghull Square at 8.00am , members should arrive between 7.30am and 7.45am to have there luggage placed on board the coach
I have previously advised members that they should take with them suitable warm and waterproof clothing and suitable footwear as we are going to the top of Mount Snowden and the Great Orme
