‘Simply Barbra’. A gifted impersonator, Steven Brinberg pays homage to Barbra Streisand.
Steven was described by the Times as a combination of bitchiness, genuine admiration and comic timing.
Tickets: £27.50 each.

Five local artist exhibit their eclectic work at our very own local art venue. We are kindly offered a slot to view. 10am / 12 noon. Hopefully one of the artists will give us an inside look at the works.

Join us for our monthly Age Concern Flicks and Friends show at the Plaza Cinema in Crosby. The film is based upon the true story of British humanitarian Sir Nicholas Winton as he looks back on his past efforts to help groups of Jewish children in German occupied Czechoslovakia to hide and flee in 1938-39 just before the beginning of World War II. This vibrant and exciting group has room for a few more members. Meeting each Monday at St George’s URC Church on Northway at 13:30 the group has produced many a display of their skill at our Tuesday Coffee Morning and impressed all who attended. Examples of their work in embroidery, quilting collage and patchwork, to name just a few, have been quite breathtaking. Ideas abound within the group and the members are all ready to share their skills with you.

In my negotiation for the above , I informed the Cinema Manager on 8/1/24 that I normally get 30-40 attendees at my events , I had no comment with regard to maximum numbers that could be accommodated , on 9/1/24 after attending the coffee morning I took 43 bookings , again I informed the Cinema Manager of this fact , no comment re. maximum numbers was received , I continued taking bookings and got to 46. On the 11/1/24 the Cinema Manager verbally informed me that the maximum number that could be accommodated was 25 , I expressed my disappointment that I had not received this detail after my emails of 8/1/24 and 9/1/24 , he reiterated that this was the maximum number that could take the tour on 24/1 24
I discussed 2 options by email with him and he eventually verbally agreed to the second option. Therefore , there will be 2 dates for 25 members to take the tour , 24/1/24 and 31/1/24 , I have produced 2 lists , please call or text George on 07826 048379 or call in at the Architecture for Fun desk to find what list each member is on
