Hello everybody, my name is Fiona Tucker and I host a Recorder Group in Formby, Merseyside and am trying to discover the level of interest in the proposal outlined below.

PROPOSED : A Recorder Playday.

VENUE  : The Quaker Meeting House, Liverpool

DATE:  Probably all day Friday or Saturday mid February 2024 depending on the availability of the venue.

COST: £15 depending on number of participants but not more than £20

TUTOR:  Andrew Collis who is well known nationally and recently conducted a very successful SRP day in Salford

INVITED:  ALL u3a members who play the recorder to intermediate or above standard. As only a few descants are ever required, players of C instruments only should bring a descant AND tenor as they use the same fingering.

Please indicate in your response which instruments you would bring – i.e. descant, treble, tenor, bass, other basses.

It will be very helpful if you can let me know if you are interested ASAP or not later than the end of August if possible, so I can tell Formby u3a the level of interest at their committee meeting on 4th September. Perhaps any Recorder Group leaders could let me know how many of their players are interested rather than them all having to email individually. fiona.tucker@talktalk.net
