September Ramble
The next ramble will be on Thursday 7th September, and will be an 9.5 mile circular walk round the village of Limbrick near Chorley. The walk is fairly flat and follows quiet paths, some road, canal paths and fields with a number of styles to negotiate Regular ramblers have been notified of start point, but if any new members wish to join the group please contact the Group Leader for information. History 4 fun – Kate Hurst
Last Fridays speaker Kate Hurst gave us a very interesting talk and we will most certainly be inviting her again
She spoke about the difficulties of being a catholic in the 16th century in the North West of England and she also spoke about the history of our local schools in the Maghull area.

Book Club First Meeting
Our brand new Book Club group met up at the Cabin to share their thoughts on Sarah Winman’s book ‘Still Life’. The meeting was a great success with the group awarding a score of 8/10 to the book. The discussion was lively with members enjoying coffees and cocktails as they shared their thoughts.
