Friday strollers – 4/11

9 walkers and Millie the dog enjoyed a short walk in the sunshine this morning. The group have decided for the time being we will do the same walk each week until members of the group feel they can tackle a more challenging walk. After the walk we enjoyed refreshments in Bernies. The main focus of the group is to enjoy a social walk whilst supporting each other in get stronger. The star of the day has to be Roberta who has not been out of the house much lately and who completed the walk with her trustee shopping trolley. With support two of the group acted as the walk leaders . So all in all a very successful morning.

Friday strollers – 11/11

10 walkers took part today. We were able to offer 1 and 2 mile walks.

We meet at Maghull Station and use local bus to get us to our start points.
We are hoping to be able to offer three walks in the future, 1, 2, or 3 miles. This gives walkers the option to choose the distance they want to do. We finish our walk with a coffee or breakfast at Bernies on Station road. If you would like to join us get in touch with Brenda McKenzie on 06900525222

Painting for Pleasure display

The Painting for Pleasure Group are putting on a show of work on Tuesday 15th November at the morning coffee meeting in the Baptist Church in a bid to extend a welcome to new members.
We are very fortunate in having quite a number of members in the group who have a good experience of painting in watercolour, acrylics, gouache and oils, and who are only too happy to share their skills with members of the group who have never painted before. Our members say that they enjoy improving their skills and have pleasure in sharing their talents.
Friendly group, good conversation, advise given when requested  plus tea and biscuits.   A good way to spend a Thursday morning from 10-12  @ The United Reform Church, Northway, Maghull. £2.00 a session. Come and join us
