A Rolling Ride!

Today 10 riders from M&L and O&L U3As joined forces for our ride out to Chorley. This time the weather was kind as this particular ride was cancelled two weeks ago due to horrendous conditions. Leaving the relatively flat landscape of West Lancs we headed into some hilly country in the outskirts of Wigan before a lovely stretch of canal bank took us to our first cafe stop at Adlington. We carried on along the canal, passing Botany Bay and another welcome brew at Top Locks before turning for home via Chorley, Euxton, Mawdesley and Burscough. An excellent ride of 54 miles, expertly led by our good friend DAG.

WAMOT – Walk a mile or two

The new group had its second stroll on Sunday August 9th with 16 members taking part.  A pleasant and easy stroll of about 2 miles starting and ending at Maghull station followed by coffee in Bernies.

Another stroll is planned for next Sunday going in the opposite direction.

Please contact any of the ‘leaders’ to be included in the walk.  It is essential that you are familiar with the current ‘covid’ restrictions and have up to date membership.

See the group page for these details.
