New Day Trip

We will start our day by visiting the stunning Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sikh Temple, Smethwick in the West Midlands.  This is one of the largest Temples in Europe and you are guaranteed a very warm welcome regardless of your beliefs, creed or colour.  There is a guided tour of this amazing building and hospitality is extended in Langa Hall with free food.  Langa is counted as a blessing and is served every day to communities all over the world. Then we are off to the Museum of Jewellery in the Jewellery Quarter.  Smith and Pepper closed their Factory and left it just as it was when they ceased trading.  It is now preserved as a time capsule showcasing the Jewellery/Metalwork heritage of this world famous Quarter.  There are demonstrations at the Jeweller’s bench and a guided tour of the Factory.  We will finish with tea/coffee/biscuits in their Cafe.
