We are going to hold a meeting on 15th May at St Peters Hall Moorhey Road, opposite Hudson School, 1.30 to 3pm to see if we can get this group going.  At the moment we have people interested but no leader, so I am going to try and find someone who will act as the co-ordinator.   If you are interested in joining this group please come to Group Support desk on a Tuesday morning or text me on 07900525222 Brenda McKenzie

Practical Gardening

On 4th April the Practical Gardening group happily took up Bill and Margaret (Ashton’s) kind offer to revisit their beautiful garden in Blundellsands. As always we were made very very welcome and all enjoyed seeing the garden in the Spring and comparing this to last Summer when we previoulsy visited.  The garden is beautifully planted and maintained – we all marvelled at Bill’s lawn edges (and lots of other things)  which are all sharp and ‘clean.’ The photos speak for themselves – but in the flesh the garden is even more gorgeous than the pictures suggest.  Thank you Bill and Margaret again from us all.

German Group

We are a group practicing a level of German that is somewhere between Beginners and Intermediate. We tend to use stories and are currently working our way through the “Café in Berlin“ series. Most group members  studied some German in school and have not used it much since then. Others have come to it later in life for various reasons. If you would like to try us out, please contact me, or just come along on a Thursday morning at St Georges parish hall. We meet most Thursday mornings outside of the school holiday periods.
