Walking Netball

netball 2This group started 20th October and meet at West Lancs College on a Friday morning  at 9.30 to 10.30.  It takes less than 15 minutes to get there by car and there is plenty of free car parking.  People are willing to give lifts so if you are interested come to the Group Support desk on a Tuesday morning or ring 0151 531 0207.  Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level.

Women the length of the country have begun playing the game of Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer. walking-netball

We tried some containing chocolate and also some with peanut butter centres  coated in coconut (which can be seen in the gallery), both of which were delicious. Continue reading

Apologies to the lady who attempted to join the group on the 1st Thursday. We hope to see you this week 19th October, when we will be sampling Japanese Food. New members are welcome…just turn up.
