Practical Gardening

Over the Summer months’  relaxed get togethers in different members’ gardens have been hugely enjoyed by all the group. These visits have given us the chance to see three gardens and hear some of the trials, tribulations and joys of  getting these gardens to their excellent and lovely current  states. Tea and cakes also helped the flow of enthusiasm and sharing of ideas. Many thanks to Brenda, Debbie and Barbara our hosts.

A date for your diary,  20th – 24th September 2018

Join us for a ‘Highlights of Hampshire’ five day/four night break next September staying at the 4* Norton Hotel just outside Winchester. Leeds Liverpool Canal , Greenberfield Lock to Barrowford

Thursday 28th September was another lovely lovely day walking along the Leeds Liverpool Canal.  After an hour or so travelling in the mini bus to Thornton in Craven on the edge of Yorkshire we alighted at Greenberfield Lock by bridge 157 at the beginning of the “summit” level of the canal at 498ft above sea level.
