It’s the largest County in England and often described as God’s Own Country – yes you’ve guessed we are off to Yorkshire.  We will start our day in the ever popular town of Skipton , Gateway to the Dales on a canal trip on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, where morning coffee/biscuits will be served and a lively entertaining commentary will be provided by Dave Spikey of Phoenix Nights and 8 out of 10 Cats fame.  There will then be time to visit Skipton with its’ colourful market, individual shops, good choice of Cafes including the famous Bizzie Lizzies Fish and Chips, hotels, pubs etc. for some lunch.  Then we are off to Settle, the home of the Settle to Carlisle train journey, where we will spend an afternoon of light hearted fun at the Flower Pot Festival.  All made by locals.  See the most imaginative creations – see how many you can spot. It’s also another lovely Yorkshire town to explore with cobbled courtyards, etc.to wander round. Time for an afternoon cuo of tea/cake before departing for home.
