Taking advantage of the spring sunshine the Pedal Pushers visited two historic Liverpool parks today, Princes Park and Sefton Park. Trains were particularly busy this morning, but we managed to squeeze on and travelled to Brunswick.
Cycling from here we had a lovely ride along the promenade where the tide was extremely low giving clear views of the many hazardous sand banks in the river. From here through the Festival gardens we rode to Princes Park. None of us had been here before and were all pleasantly surprised at how lovely the park was. Having done a complete circuit of the park we rode onward to Sefton Park for a well earned coffee stop. Suitably refreshed we completed a circuit of the park via the Palm house and then returned back to Brunswick along the promenade. 15 miles in total…not a bad way to spend the morning!
