SUNDAY STROLLERS???

Today 19 people completed the Sunday walk.  We headed over the water on the ferry, on what turned out to be a bright sunny day.  Some members walked from Seacombe to New Brighton, which was about 3.5 miles.  Others walked there and back from Seacombe to New Brighton about 6.5 miles, whilst others walked from Brunswick to  the Pier Head and then, there and back from Seacombe to New Brighton which was about 8.5 miles when we got back to Moorfield station.

We split up when we got to New Brighton and everyone choose were they would eat,  Those who walked back to Seacombe had to do it at a brisk pace to make sure we did not miss the ferry, so that is why I have questioned the group name Sunday Strollers.  We all arrived back at Moorfields at the same time and everyone agreed it had been a great day out, weather was good, company was good and meals were good.

The next Sunday walk is on the fourth Sunday 23rd April as the third Sunday is Easter.  We will meet at Maghull Station at our normal time 10.50 in time to get the 11 o’clock train to Liverpool.

We are taking it in turn to lead the walks and next month Muriel and Jen are leading the walk.  We will  be walking from the Pier Head to Otterspool were we will have lunch. If people wish they can shorten the walk and join us at St Michael’s.  If members want to length the walk once we have had lunch they can walk back to Moorfields instead of St Michaels.
