Dunes Splash World
The courses are free with qualified instructor and poles provided. You will need to do the course in order to take part in the advertised Nordic walks with our U3A and Active Sefton.

The first walk of the 2017 season took place this morning. 23 walkers and 2 dogs set out on a cold crispy morning to walk the Lydiate loop. 12 walkers opted for the longer route (approx 7 miles) led by Alan Carr, who walked from Lydiate to Maghull along the `Cheshire lines footpath, circling back to the canal at Melling, and continuing the loop back to our starting point. The remaining 11 ( and the 2 dogs) opted for the slightly shorter 5 mile route led by Judith Jones, taking the same route but missing out the loop to Melling. Continue reading
Happy new year everyone.
Our next lunch date is 05th February at The Alt on Northway.
Time: 1.30pm for 2.00pm. Bookings will be taken starting on Tuesday 10th January at the Day Trips desk. A £5 deposit will be required at the time of booking. There will not be a choice of menu as the menu is too extensive.
We had a great meeting in December when we explored logic puzzles, played some games, and tried to work out how to get Father Christmas home on time.
Answers and best solutions will be available at our next meeting which will be this Wednesday, 4th January, 2.30 – 4.30 when we will look at dice, how to win at Monopoly, and the important numbers of the national lottery.
