Mowgli, the house of the tiffin, is all about the fresh reality of Indian home cooking, unplugged. This is a million miles away from the curry house experience. Mowgli dishes follow the Hindu tradition of garlic and onion free dishes for lunch. They are low fat, gluten free, high in natural antioxidants and free from any artificial ingredients.
Five members of the Foodie Group went to Mowgli to sample Indian street food. We shared the following:
- Yoghurt Chat Bombs
- The Bombay Chip Butty
- Himalayan Cheese Toast
- Calcutta Kati Wrap
- Gunpowder Chicken
- Office Workers Tiffin ( 4 tiers of meat, veg and carb jeopardy chosen by chef
- House Chicken Curry
- Mowgli House Keema
- Bunny Chow
- Angry Bird
- Gulab Jamun (dessert)
What an experience. The above was washed down with a nice bottle of red or beer. The restaurant details can be found on internet and is in Bold Street so handy for train station.
Very good place to go in a group Indian Street Market dishes come out as and when they are ready, so you may get your main before starter. All adds to the surprise. We ordered five starters and five mains, so the food kept coming!!!!!!!
