World Book Night at Meadows Library, Maghull
World Book Night
A million books are to be given away on this night, to promote the habit of reading, especially amongst those not yet bitten by the bug. You may have seen something about it in the media. To support this national initiative, the good folk of Sefton Meadows Library are organising a special event to take place on Saturday 5th March between 4 and 6 pm. It will be will be an open house affair, readers and non-readers being welcome to drop in anytime from 4pm to 6pm. There will be refreshments and three short debates, lead by the Library’s Reading Groups: From 4.15 to 4.45, a discussion about crime books; from 4.45 to 5.15, a debate about romantic novels, and from 5.15 to 5.45 a debate about Poetry, TV tie-in’s and page-to-screen books. There will also be displays of books which the reading groups have enjoyed. I hope you will be able to support the event and invite your friends as well.
